IDAHO HOMESCHOOL GRADUATION YEARBOOK[ Printable copy ] |
|
Dear Homeschool Graduate and Parents: The time is here to make all those graduation plans. A wonderful part of preserving the memories of this milestone is a yearbook. As homeschoolers, you are a unique group of very "individual" individuals. You may not feel a part of a homeschool group, but just by being independent, self-motivating, self-teaching, free-thinking, and a do-it-yourself type, you do belong in this yearbook; as a group. You are the world-changers, and a small record of this pivotal time of your life can encourage others to become "individual" individuals. If you have not had your Senior pictures taken yet, it is with much exhortation that we encourage you to do so NOW! If Senior pictures are not going to be on your agenda, then a current snapshot or 2, or 3 would be much appreciated. Holden Photo, Priceless Photo, Sears Photo, or a friend in the backyard with a disposable camera would be just a few suggestions. Overcast days are the best, or late evening when no shadows will be cast across faces. Seniors will have a full page to express yourselves in the yearbook. This page may include current pictures, pictures from when you were young, or doing your favorite hobby, your favorite scripture or poem, the meaning of your name, and/or a message to your parents. (see examples of previous yearbook pages) Be creative and arrange the page how you like: see checklist. You should start collecting and formatting your page NOW, as in, TODAY! The deadline is the first Tuesday, January 2010. Check List for Sr. Page:
If you are somewhat creatively challenged, or would just prefer, you may submit your pictures (at least five) with your full name on the back, your favorite scripture verse and anything else you might want to have on your page and our yearbook staff will format a page for you. If you want us to format for you, please send us good quality color pictures that can be cropped. You must also include a release for any pictures that are copy written. Obtaining permission to print Studio pictures in the yearbook is not usually a problem. There should be no charge and you must tell them that it is for reprint in your High School Yearbook only! Also please be sure they date their permission slip to extend until May 30th 2010. Juniors (11th), Sophomores (10th), and Freshmen (9th) may submit their wallet-sized pictures for the yearbook. If it is a studio picture you will need a release as above. A current snapshot will also be fine. Your yearbook will also include pages for:
Your Yearbook will also include other pages which might be unique to the class of '09. Please submit good quality color pictures that can be cropped. These pictures should highlight Graduates for the most part. Please include names of those in the picture, age, what is going on, and anything that might be helpful to us. Parents and students look through your pictures of previous years for our Memory pages. Everyone should be taking pictures and getting them to your yearbook staff. Remember, your yearbook is only as good as your contributions make it! If you have questions or want more details please contact Mrs. Cristy Bertsch at 375-2355. |
